This week, The Merchants' Hall opened its doors to the public for our long-awaited exhibition, ‘A Story of Endeavour and Achievement’, celebrating The Royal Company of Merchants’ key role in shaping Edinburgh’s commercial history and its evolution into a charitable and educational institution with the foundation of its schools, as part of Edinburgh 900.
Congratulations to the hard-working Archives and Treasures Committee at Merchants’ Hall, the ESMS Archive, George Watson's Archivist and the Mary Erskine FP Guild for their dedication in bringing this extraordinary journey through the Company’s past and present to life.
