Enterprise Fund Marks Milestone Tenth Round at Merchants’ Den

Enterprise Fund Marks Milestone Tenth Round at Merchants’ Den

Earlier this month, the Enterprise Fund reached a milestone by confirming its tenth round of grant applications. Established in 2017, the Fund was created by our Members to support early-stage entrepreneurs by offering financial assistance and business mentoring at the crucial start of their journey.

The highlight of each round is the “Merchants’ Den”, where shortlisted applicants pitch their business ideas to a panel made up of Company Members. This year’s panel included both a recent and an Associate member, reflecting the Company’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of business leaders.

Six diverse businesses were invited to present, and three were awarded grants totalling £12,500. The successful applicants were:

  • Cuaddu, a Sardinian-style street food venture specialising in pizzetta al taglio, a unique foldable pizza served on the go
  • Athena Language Camps, offering summer cultural immersion holidays for teenagers in France and Spain
  • Fìor Anam, an adaptive lingerie brand that designs stylish undergarments for women living with medical devices

Each business will benefit from expert mentoring by Members of the Company, helping to refine their plans and develop their ventures with long-term success in mind.

As a registered charity, the Enterprise Fund welcomes further donations and support. If you are interested in contributing or learning more, please contact CEO & Secretary, Guy Cartwright.
