Southern Light: Jesus Christ Superstar

Just imagine standing centre stage at the Festival Theatre, looking out over a nearly 2,000 seat auditorium — the biggest in Scotland and one of the largest in the UK.

That’s exactly what a number of Members from The Royal Company of Merchants were invited to do on Thursday 8th May, thanks to a special collaboration with Capital Theatres - Festival Theatre, King's Theatre & Studio Theatre. Led by John Robb, Technical Director and King’s Future Project Manager, the visit included a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour and an update on the redevelopment of Edinburgh's King’s Theatre.

The evening finished with pre-show drinks and a phenomenal performance of Jesus Christ Superstar by Southern Light. Huge congratulations to the cast, crew and all involved, and a big thank you to Fiona MacFarlane and the Capital Theatres team for organising this amazing Members’ opportunity for us.
